The T-Bank team, as part of the T-DATA analytical project, entered a magnifying glass on gamers and found out how often they play video games and how they pay for purchases associated with this hobby. For example, in 2025 more than half of the respondents began to spend less than money on interactive entertainment.
The study was attended by more than 1 thousand Russians over 18 years of age living in all regions of the country. In addition, the analysis is also based on the depersonalized data of T-Bank customers who paid video games through a mobile application and personal account on the bank’s website.

The popularity of video games
On a regular basis, more than half of Russians freeze in games – 61 %: of them, 27 % do it daily, 20 % launch games several times a week, and 14 % several times a month.

Due to various kinds of restrictions related to sanctions, 57 % of respondents began to buy games less often, and 36 % significantly cut their expenses in this area.
